Long time no see

As we said last year and only two posts ago...First a moment for the honored dead...
It has been a very long time since my last post, and I was thinking today that it would be a good thing for me to get back into posting. A lot has happened in life lately from having three jobs, meeting a special girl at said job, and roommate getting a new girl in his life. School is over for the summer and I have found a summer job at Fox Run golf course that is right outside my window. I spent this Memorial Day morning like I have every Memorial Day morning for the past eight years...mowing greens on a golf course. I also got to play nine holes. This afternoon I have aspirations of teaching roommate and special girl how to play golf. More to come.

Analyze This: Life in the Real World.

So I have been in the working world for a little more then a month, and to begin with I thought I had it pretty cushy...However, there are days that are not cushy. I work at a school and I really enjoy my job. Another good part about the real world is eating a good meal at home as a family. Mike and I do a pretty good job at showing off our cooking talents. I do look forward to breakfast, because I have never really been a morning person and having to get up early requires fuel.

However, the other hard part about the real world is that while Iowa is cheep I still needed a second job. So now I not only have teaching, golfcourse management, senior services, grocery store, and coffeshop on my resume, but retail at Old Navy as well.

Lucky Numbers: 3, 6, 0, and 21

Final Thought: 2 Jobs + 1 person to support (me) = One pretty decent income...

Analyze This: I love Iowa

OK, so best friend, the little one, and I have done something now that I have never dreamed I would ever do. Moved to Iowa. While originally the thought of not only working but living in Iowa disgusted me I soon realized that everything is cheeper in Iowa. Gas, rent, food, and drink. Our apartment is pretty nice perfectly located between a golf course and a strip joint...neither one of which I have frequented yet...

Lucky Numbers: 2, 3, 7, 11, 99

Final Thought: What does IOWA really stand for???

Memorial Day Monday

First off a momment for the honored dead.
Today I spent the morning mowing greens, and attending Memorial Day Services at two places. It sounds boring but I actually enjoy it. Today was a fantastic day, I enjoyed the morning and an afternoon of golf. During the evening I went to work at the WCC bar for an hour, and was informed of a new hire at the course. I must admit I was a bit upset, however, I did get the last laugh. I enjoyed getting a phone call later hearing that new hire didn't make it even a day. I win for once, I love my life.

Lucky Numbers: 182, 6, 41, 5

Final Thought: I know it, you know it, we know it, and they know it.

Sunday Happenings

Upon returning home from Omaha, I was greated at the WCC by a frantic overreaction. I spent the afternoon watering greens, I spoke with one of the local idiots, got in an arguement and was accused of not knowing what was going on. Oh well, they are supposed to be finding another Greenskeeper, but more on that later.

Lucky Numbers: 25 or 6 to 4

Final Thought: Dude you build lawn mowers, you don't work here...

Weekend Warriors

This past weekend was full of great fun. I went to Omaha on Friday to visit my best friend Princess Mike, and we ended up at a low key, quiet, not so crowded bar (just my kind of place). As soon we entered we were met by my buddy's new gal pal, and for some reason I'm inclined to call her NEO (if you wanna know just ask me). Anyway, NEO was with a couple of her friends, and we enjoyed an evening of drinking, darts, and upon leaving the best bar I've been to in Omaha so far, I enjoyed a little breakfast. Princess Mike was happy, I was in a good mood as well, and I took this as an omen that ment great things were to come.

Saturday was not a let down either, after enjoying a breakfast with a kingly father figure we picked up the cutest little gal in O'Town and enjoyed her company for about half and hour before she had to spend an afternoon with her other grandparents. After leaving her we spent an afternoon at home, Princess mowed the lawn, while I got ready to grill supper. After supper, we headed out to play darts, and pool. I avoided a hustle...I work at a bar and seen it comming a mile away, but played one game, hit some awesome shots and won, the hustler lost interest.

After leaving billards hall, we headed to NEO's place for another evening of fun and games. Again not a let down, we had a great time. NEO's friends were cool, maybe we can all chill again soon.

Lucky Numbers: 8, 6, 7, 5, 3, 0, 9

Final Thought: Don't bring the hustle without the muscle.

Analyze This: Nerves on Edge

Today has been a rather nerve racking day, not that anything important was scheduled for today, but I have an interview tomorrow morning for the job I really want to get. So in order to combat this nervous energy I have decided to enjoy an evening home alone watching basketball.

In other news, I'm ready to finally move back to Nebraska hopefully this interview will yeild possitive results for that plan.

Lucky Numbers: 5, 10, 15, 20

Final Thought: Look before you leap.

Analyze This: There is no place like home

This past weekend I went down to O-Town to visit my best friend Princess Mike. Upon leaving a rainy South Dakota I had high hopes of a sun filled weekend in Nebraska. This was hardly the case. Here is a breakdown of this weekends happenings.

Friday: I arrived at O-Town at around 1:30, upon arrival I took Princess Mike to Famous Daves for a War with Meat. Like old times it was excellent. Next, we arrived at a soccer game where we stood on the side lines for a couple hours. It was cold, we were soaked from head to feet, and the game did not go as expected despite a victory. Post game we celebrated at Old Chicago, where we were met by one of Princess Mike's old lady friends. We then attended a couple other bars where I was approaced to by a survey in order to get free stuff. We then went home to rest up for Day 2 festivities.

Saturday: Shopping, Phillies, and Bars: Saturday morning we decided that shopping could be an excellent course of action for the day, I spent more money then I wanted to but sometimes that happens. Later that eveing HoneyBear arrived and we headed to B-Dubs for wings and interactive games. Post wings, we headed home for some intense 3 person drinking games awaiting the arrival of Mike's current Nurse friend. We spent the rest of the night at the Shark Club where we wittnessed fights, overpriced drinks, and even a tree suddenly catching fire. Post club, mike and Nurse headed to the strip club while HoneyBear and myself turned in for the night.

Sunday, Lounging at Mike's, Dinner at the Casino, rainy drive home.

Over all great weekend I can't wait to be back home.

Lucky Numbers: 4, 10, 8, 24, 33, 68+1

Final Thought: Never forget where you came from.

Analyze This: Making people happy

It has been brought to my attention that it has been a long time since I have posted anything. So to please those individuals here is what is going on in my life. I have been fairly busy, with speech, teaching, and work. All are going fairly well, but there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done.

I took a fantastic trip down to Omaha to see my best friend, former roommy, romantic advisor, and pretty much brother, Mike. He took me out on the town with a couple of his lady friends, after supper at Romeo's we headed downtown and got a few drinks at a variety of different bars. After getting successfully messed up, we went home got up in the morning went to the casino and lost a bunch of my money.

However, if that is not enough fun, I got to spend the end of my Spring Break in the Wisconsin at a speech tournament. As many people know I have a huge dislike for that state...really there is only one place worse to be and that's Iowa.

Finally, this weekend was insane, I worked at the MSP Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It wouldn't have been horible but different events caused me to be up much later then I would have hoped to be. Even so money was made, beer was drank, stuff was stuff, and anything that happened obviously happened for a reason. The end of a fantastic weekend.

Lucky Numbers: 1, 4, 12, 30, and 66.

Final Thought: First impressions are important, but don't base all your feelings on that one meeting, if you do you might be missing out.

Analyze This: Long time with No Thoughts (Waiting for Something)

To all that it concerns I am not dead. However, profound thoughts have been at a minimum as of lately. Life has seemed to fall into a routine again and it is starting to take its effect.
I've been looking for jobs, that suit me for after I leave South Dakota. Waiting to find my love again. Waiting for the end of the school year. Waiting to find a job. Waiting for Florida. Waiting...Waiting...Waiting...

Lucky Numbers: 22, 9, 8, 2.5

Thought for the day: Make up your mind.
